IMPT Council 2010 - DH Liaison Officer

I qualified as a Maxillofacial Prosthetist in 1987 and joined the Institute in 1989. Throughout my time as a member I have had the privilege of being able to contribute to the lecture programs at our international scientific conferences and in addition, make contributions to the IMPT Scientific Journal. The quality of the biannual IMPT conferences are internationally renowned and I count it a particular honor to have won awards for the presentation of several papers. I joined the IMPT Council in late 2000 and took on the role of IMPT Liaison Officer for Agenda for Change. My experience as a union representative has been most useful in this matter, but has not stopped this issue being a significant challenge. I am glad to say that most members have risen to this challenge and can report good or satisfactory results in what could have been a disaster. I am now assisting with registration, another significant challenge for our profession. Again, we will need our members continued support to achieve a satisfactory outcome for our patients and our profession.		DH Liaison Officer Dave Allen
