IMPT Council 2010 - Chair
Sarah Parkinson, BSc(Hons), MIMPT

Trained at the Manchester Metropolitan University for 6 years, I received a 2nd Class 1st Honours degree in June 1995.

After my degree I majored in Maxillofacial prosthetics and then went on to consolidate my studies at The Manchester Dental Hospital.

In January 1997 I took a position as Principal Maxillofacial Prosthetist at Poole Hospital NHS trust.

In 2004 I took a Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthetist appointment at St Richards Hospital, Chichester where I manage a split site laboratory with 5 members of staff producing a whole range of Dental and Maxillofacial Prostheses.

I became a member of council in 2004 and have been minute secretary and Assistant Horary Treasurer role for most of this time managing the electronic pay pal account. Since March 2007 I stepped up to become Vice Chairman and was officially inaugurated as Chairman of the IMPT at the 23rd Biennial scientific congress in Leeds (September 2007.) As the Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetist’s and Technologists first lady Chair my priority is to listen to the members and continue the fabulous work my predecessors have already achieved.
