Mark Townend FIMPT. Mark qualified in Dental Technology in 1981 from Bristol and Cardiff, UK.
Following this he undertook advanced qualifications in Orthodontics, Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Technology through to 1987. He undertook his maxillofacial training at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, UK and Queen Mary’s University Hospital, Roehampton, UK.
In 1989 he was appointed to Poole Hospital NHS Trust in Dorset, UK as Maxillofacial Prosthetist – Head of Service. He is in charge of an extensive maxillofacial prosthetics and technology service working with two colleagues. In 1990 Mark was elected to the governing Council of The Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetists and Technologists, (The IMPT).
In 1997 he became the Honorary Secretary of The IMPT stepping down in 2002 and resuming the role in 2004 to date. In 2005 Mark was made a Fellow of The IMPT. |
