The application and design of audit in the management of facial trauma.
The development and application of 3D modelling (stereolithography and FDM) techniques to the diagnosis and treatment of facial injuries and for acquired and congenital abnormalities of the head and neck region.
The development of a simple device for the variable immobilisation of fractured jaws available from Down’s Surgical.
Production of a retractor for use in treatment of fractured condyles.
Ongoing Projects
A study of facial fracture management in Northern Ireland, with the development of a database. It is hoped to extend this to a prospective, randomised trial of different treatment protocols.
The production of a teaching video on sialography.
3D modelling techniques – further development with dept of medical physics.
