Career Development • 1974-1978 Newcastle-upon-Tyne University Dental Hospital/Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital – Student/Dental Technologist. • 1978-1981 Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Buckinghamshire – Dental Technologist (Prosthetics & Orthodontics) & Student Maxillofacial Prosthetist. • 1981-2003 St. Richard’s Hospital, Chichester/Southlands Hospital, Shoreham by Sea /Worthing Hospital – 1981-83 Senior Maxillofacial Prosthetist, 1983-93 Chief Maxillofacial,1993-03 Senior Chief Maxillofacial Prosthetist. • 2003-Current St. Luke’s Cancer Centre, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford – Clinical Tecnnologist. Areas of Technical & Clinical Interest • Head & Neck cancer and associated impression, imobilisation and rehabilitation techniques. • Ocular Prosthetics • Complex implant supported prosthetics incorporating gold bar, stud, magnets, precision attachments and cast gold superstructures. • Occlusion and articulation, orthognatic model planning. • Silicone prosthetics especially auricular and nipple areola. |
