Kings College are offering an Maxillofacial & Craniofacial Technology MSc programme.

At the IMPT 2003 Congress the members voted to implement a system of Continual Professional Development. This plan began on the 1st January 2004 and is outlined below. Professional Development Officer. (P.D.O)
The PDO will monitor the level of member’s recorded CPD points on the IMPT web site.

Documentation.
Certification of attendance of IMPT Congresses, Seminars, Courses etc. Will be issued by the P.D.O. The documentation should be retained by the membership as their record. Conference, Seminar Co-ordinators will inform the P.D.O of IMPT Members attendance. None IMPT C.P.D Activities would require the membership to produce evidence of attendance and documentation of the activity for consideration for CPD recognition.

Membership requirement.
The minimum CPD to be completed by a member over a two year period is 12 units of which 50% must be Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Technology sector related.

Qualifying areas of activity for CPD.
All areas outlined in the Fitness to Practice document (Introduction of voluntary PCD)
Other areas of possible C.P.D activity not outlined in the fitness practice document should be presented to the P.D.O for consideration.

Non compliance to CPD obligation

If a member is found to be none compliant to his CPD obligations. The first address would be to inform that member of his obligations, if no reasonable extenuating circumstance or effort is made to comply, the S/Regulatory body would be informed of the members C.P.D inactivity. (or the members employing authority can be informed of the non compliance)
