There are approximately 8,000 people in the UK who suffer from Head/Neck cancer each year. We have 1200 patients on our mailing list and 400 professionals.
The professionals are the key to communication. By raising the awareness of LFI to patients suffering from the indignities of this disease, they are able to give them the choice to seek help from others who have experienced similar problems.
- The inability to eat or speak the way they used to.
- Their fear of facing their families and friends.
- Facing treatments and reconstruction.
- Total loss of self esteem.
These are just a few changes that people have to deal with in their changed lives
